Yay! Now I have a new pet!

Stone dog- Procedure
What you will need:
  • Odd shaped stone that looks slightly like an animal.
  • Paint brushes
  • Acrylic paint, brown, pink black and pink (for the tongue).
  • Wool or string for the tail.
  • Googly eyes.
  • Hot glue gun.
  • Parent’s supervision.
  • Cardboard painted brown.
Method:
  1. First find an odd shaped stone and give it a very good wash.
  2. Next dry the stone, then coat the whole stone with brown paint. Make sure that you paint the whole stone so that it looks like the right colour.
  3. When the paint is dry, you can glue on adorable, googly eyes onto the rock with your hot glue gun and make sure an adult is with you to keep you from harm.
  4. Stick your brown wool onto the back of the stone and make sure that the tail is stuck on the stone securely.
  5. Use cardboard for the ears and paint it brown and glue them above the eyes.
  6. Finally when everything is dry, you are now ready to show off your stone dog. If your stone dog comes out looking adorable then you have succeeded in making a stone dog.
Learning intention: We are learning to understand and use descriptive language in a procedural writing.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I use verbs and adjectives to make my procedure more interesting for my readers.
