Finding Dory is such a funny movie!

On Saturday the 16th of July my brothers, sister and I went to the Hoyts Cinemas at Sylvia Park. Our parents dropped us off to the movies in my mum's big silver car. We watched
Finding Dory and I was really excited to watch the sequel of Finding Nemo.

When we arrived at the cinema, we paid for our tickets and we bought popcorn and drinks for ourselves. I had my own medium sized bucket of popcorn and a cup of fizzy coke to quench my thirst. When we received our tickets, we quickly walked to cinema three.

Finding Dory is about a small dark blue fish with yellow fins named Dory who was looking for her parents whom she lost when she was a child because she suffers from short term memory loss. Two clown fish named Marlin and Nemo helped Dory to find her parents.  Dory had an amazing adventure, she met a friendly octopus named Hank and she also met up with her old friend Destiny the whale. At the end of the movie, with the help of Dory's friends they found her parents, Jenny and Charlie. I liked Finding Dory because it was funny and it was an adventurous movie.

When the movie finished, we walked around the mall. We went to Stirling Sports to look at some shoes and clothes. I saw Nike clothes and shoes for girls and I really wanted to buy them. Next, we went to Pak'n'Save to buy some snacks. We bought marshmallows, skittles and chocolate pods. I ate the skittles with my siblings and it was very sour.

We sat on a bench and waited for our parents to pick us up and it was boring. Finally our parents picked us up and we went straight home. I went to sleep because I was so exhausted!

I had so much fun at the movies and my favourite part was when I watched the funny movie Finding Dory. Maybe next time we could go to the movies with our whole family and watch a funny movie like Finding Dory.

Mmm, I love eating bacon and egg pies!

It was a cold and rainy day on Saturday the 25th of June, my mum and I decided to go to my brother's rugby game at Sacred Heart College. We got up very early feeling very cold but luckily my dad started a warm and cozy fire to warm us up. I was so excited about watching my older brother's rugby game.

When we arrived at the school, my brother told my mum and I that there was no game because there weren't enough players for his team. We felt sad but my brother said he would ask the coach to see if he could play for another team. The coach said yes but we had to wait a little while so we went to the bakery to buy something to eat. We had chicken kebab which were only $3 each. The kebab was juicy and tender.

After a while, we went back to school and the game was about to start so my mum and I found a place to sit down. My mum and I found a spot under a tree where the rain wouldn't pour down on us. My brother didn't play for the first half so he came over to where my mum and I were and we watched the game quietly.

While the game was being played, I decided to go and look at the bright, colourful trees above us. The trees were filled with beautiful pink flowers. They had a long green stem with yellow speckles on the petals so I decided to pick one out for my mum. She was very happy when I gave her the flower.

Soon the rain began to pour down and it began to get colder and colder. All of a sudden, my dad came to us. He had come back from my other brother's game at Mt. Albert. My mum didn't want me to get sick so she told me to go back to the car where my other siblings were. I ran carefully back to the car and I had butterflies in my stomach because I did not want to slip on the wet and muddy grass. As soon as I made it to the car, I jumped in and tried to keep myself warm by cuddling myself. My sister gave me a warm bacon and egg pie for me to munch on.The pie was so delicious and the egg was very well cooked. I really enjoyed eating the delicious pie!

Finally, the game ended and the rain was starting to slow down so we all walked down to where my mum was. However, it started to pour down again so we quickly went back to the cars and turned on the heaters.

Eventually, we went back home and we were all so tired and cold. We had a rest and sat next to the fire trying to warm ourselves up. It was not fun at my brother's rugby game because the weather wasn't the best. However I did enjoy eating the delicious bacon and egg pie. We will need to make sure that we bring an umbrella or bring warmer clothes next time on a rainy wet day.
Learning Intention: We are learning to understand and use descriptive language.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I use adverbs and adjectives in my recount to describe my brother's rugby game on Saturday.

Thank you mum for the delicious breakfast!

On a sunny Saturday morning, my family and I went to the Glen Innes Pak'nSave to buy some groceries for our breakfast. We went in my mum's big silver car and I was very excited to do some grocery shopping.

When we arrived at Pak'nSave I quickly grabbed a trolley and followed my family around. We filled the trolley with a lot of things like eggs, sausages, juice, butter, bread and chocolates.

Before we took the groceries to the checkout, my brother and I calculated as to how much all the groceries were worth in total. My brother said that it was $37 and so did I. When we found out the total amount to pay, we realised that we were both right!

Then, we went back home to clean up the house and made our breakfast. But before we could eat,  we had to clean up the whole house first. I picked up the rubbish while my dad vacuumed the house. I didn't like cleaning up but I had no choice. Eventually the house was spotless and sparklingly clean!

Finally, my mum made us breakfast. We had scrambled eggs with sausages on toast. To quench our thirst we had apple juice that we bought at the store. It was a scrumptious breakfast for all of us!

I had a boring day on Saturday because cleaning was so tiring and not fun at all for me but my favourite part of the day was eating my delicious breakfast cooked by our mum with love for the family.
