Eat the wheat, Miss Henny!

We are learning to follow the structure of a procedure.
I know I can do this when I follow the steps for making a hungry hen.
Procedure of making a hen:
What you will need:

  • Paper plate
  • some thin card
  • some colored paper
  • felt pens
  • black,brown or orange paint
  • a paintbrush
  • glue
  • scissors
  • a stapler


  1. Paint the paper plate with brown, orange, or black paint. 
  2. Put it somewhere cool to dry. 
  3. Take some thin card and cut out the beak for your hen.
  4. Colour the beak with felt pens or paint. 
  5. Cut out a comb for your hen and colour it red.
  6. Fold the paper in half so the paint is on the outside the plate at the top of the fold. 
  7. Staple it in the right place.
  8. Staple the hen's comb above the beak, along the fold of the plate.
  9. Now painting or draw eyes for your hen. 
  10. Give your hen some feathers.
  11. Cut them out of colored  paper or use use feathers.
  12. Glue the feathers on both sides. 
  13. Use longer feathers for your hen's tail. 
  14. Cut some grains of wheat out of yellow paper or give your hen some real wheat.
  15. Give your hen a push and she will rock forward to eat the wheat.
