Stop littering and start caring about the turtles!

Turtles!
  • A turtle is a freshwater reptile that crawls slowly and is related to the sea turtle and the tortoise, but it has a flattened shell.

  • There are different types of turtles in the world like the green turtle, alligator snapping turtle, African side-neck turtle, and the eastern snake neck turtle. There are seven different types of turtles in the world including the average turtles. There are at seven species that are endangered or harmed by pollution and rubbish. All types of turtles can become endangered and harmed by rubbish.

  • Turtles eat small fish, fish pellets, insects like earthworms and snails when they are on land. Their diet consists mainly of worms, snails, insects larvae, aquatic insects, crustaceans, water plants, algae and sometimes fallen fruit. A turtle can weigh up to 317 kilograms or 700 pounds. A baby turtle weighs 15 ounces and it is 4 inches.  

  • Turtles have existed for 215 million years but turtles and now becoming endangered. There are only seven species left and less than one thousand left in the world.

Success criteria: I know this when I use adverbs and verbs to make my writing more interesting for my readers.
